Can't believe today is the first day of Spring,for it is too cold outside. A very dreary day so full of cloud and cold winds rain off and on from time to time. We went to ACME had to get ham for Easter Sunday and other odds and ends. They had these awesome bagels that were apparently baked there oh they smelled so good and only $5.00 for a dozen. I knew we didn't really need that many so I bought a half dozen. For Mike went to the Italian Bakery early this morning to get his raisin biscuits seems to be an early Sunday morning ritual for him. Yes they are so very good.
As we left ACME to go to one last store before going home to watch NASCAR, The aroma of the onion bagels was over coming me so I just had to reach into the bag and get one out just to try.
Wow how delicious that was never tasted a bagel to good and fresh as this one perhaps I did many years ago when my Dad was still with us but never since. I did share some of it with Mike only fair to do. I also got him a blueberry bagel. These bagel really have some weight to them but, most important So DELICIOUS.
Mike had left over corn beef and cabbage and red potatoes from St Patrick's Day, I had a Chicken Caesar Salad for to me seems like every Sunday is Salad Sunday.
Then as we were eating dinner Mike said look it is snowing out I looked out the window and yes it was snowing and it was getting quite cold. And so today is the first day of Spring???????????
I'm sorry I didn't post about St Patrick's Day ut, perhaps it is best for it wasn't the Luck of the Irish that was with me Thursday for as I was cooking my kitchen flooded out apparently a pipe under the sink wore out at the wrong time. I cried my eyes out. Yes dinner did get made through all th tears I was crying and we enjoyed it. That's about all I can honestly say.
