Saturday's Odds & Ends

Yes, I'm a day late, having problems with the Site, will work it all out later.

So as promised I am about to tell you about the very Expensive Food Shopping Trips. First we went to the Farmers Market, bought some grapes, a large and really nice eggplant, that is for dinner tonight. Some grape tomatoes and carrots, oh how I love this Vegetable Stand, final cost $15.00 not bad at all. Then on to the Amish Bakery, we bought the Greatest and best Garlic Cheese Yeast rolls, for a package of 12 nice size ones, all their baked goods are home made in Lancaster, where the Amish are from. Such friendly people they are to us every time we go in there. $4.99 is what we spent there.
Then onto BJ's Wholesale, I thought this was not going to be an Expensive trip at all. We bought 2 pounds of shredded Mozzerella cheese, 6 cans of white albacore tuna in water, bread, 2 loaves of course for Mike to make his lunch for work, 3 cartons of vegetable Stock to make Chicken noodle soup this week, oh 5 pound brick of american cheese for Mike when he makes his sandwiches for lunch and time when I just feel like having a grilled cheese sandwich my very favorite thing to eat. Then onto the bagels, Mike got 9 whole wheat bagels, and I got 9 cheese bagels. They bake the bagel right there I love when we go there and they are just putting them out as they were Saturday, for that cheese bagel tasted so good. Of course Mike had to buy himself a Sugar Free Apple Pie, that is his treat for the week since he is a Diabetic. Oh yes bought Shiloh the very large box of large Milk Bones for we could never forget her, soap to get bathed with, package of 5 containers of Clorox Disinfectant cloths, package of 10 Cube Boxes of kleenex, Skippy Low Fat peanut butter for me. Oh yes Natures Valley Vitamin E for me also. I think that is about it with the Grand Total for just that little bit was $118.55, Geeze, It was not really worth it to shop there. Final stop ACME, this place is very Over Priced but we had to go there to get crabmeat for the crab cakes Mike's Mom was making us for dinner Sunday. We bought 2 cup of soups for me, split chicken breasts, they Claim it to be is a Family Package, must be a very Small Family only got 5 of them in there, but that is O K for I will use 4 of them for soup and have one left over to make for Mike one night for dinner. Did buy creamed spinach, noodles, and items to make Irish Soda Bread for ST Patty's Day this Thursday, oh yes the can of crabmeat Phew that was pricey $24.99 for 1 pound. Oh yes 5 one gallon containers of Turkey Hill Diet Green Iced tea, 2 ACME brand cereals for Mike's Mom and also got her ACME brand trash bags, I honestly believe that was all. Grand Total there was $89.95. Yes it sure is not hard to give your Hard Earned Money away to these Food Stores any more, They are getting Richer as we're not. The Best Deals we Honestly Got was at the farmers market. There is a Meat Section in the Farmers Market, but I do not eat meat and when it comes to chicken it has to be Perdue, perhaps one day Mike may buy his lunch meat there for his lunches he takes to work.
After the ACME it was finally back to the "Little House In The Woods" unloaded the car put everything away while Mike took Shiloh for a walk. We had salads for dinner. Nothing like fresh Romaine lettuce with tuna, hot pepper cheese, croutons, and fresh ground pepper topped off with Light Ranch dressing. That was so delicious and made me quite happy. So that was really it for us. After dinner we watched Rascal Flats, the news and off to bed we went after changing our clocks back one hour. Sure did Feel Loosing that Hour Yesterday. I will make it up some where along this week. Oh Dinner at Mike's Mom's house was great as always nothing like her home made Crab Cakes and Coleslaw. Yes it was a very great Sunday and we all enjoyed ourselves very much.

Hope all had a wonderful weekend as we did, having the best weather that one could ask for, very sunny and on the warmer side finally.
Well that is it.
Oh my Blog as you can see has changed not by my choice, something went wrong from having my Shelfari on there and this was the only template I could get to work. Have to work on this so I can put it back to the way it was, but it will suffice for now. Mike looked at it tonight he likes it allot hmmm. I really miss the trees it used to have.
For Now Goodnight !
