MY

First, can not make it through the morning especially with getting up this early, nor through the day. Even though I know that I will be stopping after the appointment to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Any way my appointment was for 8:0a.m. we arrived at 7:29a.m., but we went in and I signed in, paid my $80.00 co-pay "OUCH" that really hurt me. Then I sat down and read the one and only magazine they had there which was Good House Keeping, well at least it was up to date for it was the October, 2010 issue. Then as I started to read a quite interesting article, they called my name , back I went got weighed lost 3 pounds. Guess that was from all that walking with Shiloh that I have been doing. Then the usual questions, of which they already new the answers to, but I humored the Medical Assistant and answered them all, even though she had all the answers on the lap top in front of her. The she took my BP, "very Well" she said and left, then The Greatest Cardiologist there is Dr. Marc, came in, told me that I really look great today,. I thanked him. He asked how I was doing, yes I did tell the truth that I was still getting short of breath at times and the pain where the pacemaker is and where they split the ribs and sternum. He said "That he understands, apparently I am very sensative, and that he did not want to move it. I definitely do not want that either. No, No More Cutting me OPEN. I told him about the long walks with Shiloh, he was so very happy, but would prefer me not to walk so far as of right now. Then we talked and we both decided to have me try out the new Heart Monitor that they are using now. So on October 5th yes I will be trying it for 5 days, then put everything back in the box it came in and mail it to the Heart Monitoring Office, even though the entire time that I have it on they will be watching it. Amazing how MEDICINE changes so fast, and for the better. Then on DEC. 6th it is Stress Test, and another test to look in at my new Aortic Heart Valve, and check on the smaller valve that they know is bleeding, and have known since the surgeries 16 months ago. How ever if the Heart Monitor shows something up then the December 6th Date will be moved up or if the shortness of breath or the some what pain in my chest that I have been experiencing. Yes he is a DR that you can honestly talk to. And guess what, he does LISTEN. As he told me today and every time that I see him that it is the Pacemaker that is keeping me alive, not just the new Aortic Heart Valve. Then he did say I see that you are still loosing weight, I said yes and Mike who was with me said she isn't eating that much again for everything is starting to loose taste to me again. Neither the DR, Mike nor I know why I am back to this step again. He advised me to try and eat very small portions during the day, not like cookies, cake, candy, but apples, blueberries, things like that and just try to eat other things a little at a time. He also said that he thinks that it would be good to get off of all the salads with tuna and tomatoes every night. I said "O K" for the tomatoes are now out of season here. He advised me to try to eat the salmon, and other fish that I like. He is very glad that I do not eat meat. He stayed for a while, he is the type of DR that makes sure all is covered before he leaves. Took the big box with Heart Monitor and all that goes with it so I can start to have my heart monitored Tuesday. After leaving there Mike did take me to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte, Big Smile on my F ace in my Tummy. He knew that I was not that happy about having the stress test, but yes I know that it is for my own good, YES I will be taking it. Then it was on to the Dentist for my teeth, another really BIG OUCH $180.00. HMMMM I wonder what it would cost had I had Dental Insurance ! Not very happy after I left there that was for sure. Then we stopped by and visited Mike's Mother for a while. Finally on our way making a stop off at the store, had to buy some Sympathy Cards for some Fallen Soldiers, since I volunteer my time with LLT (Living Legend Team). Finally on our way back to the the "Little House In The Woods" Mike made a salad for his dinner I made some Green Giant Vegetables, nope they just did not taste right to me, so I did not eat dinner, except for a couple of crackers and whole wheat pretzels.
Think that September is going to leave us with a very severe storm with tropical winds and rain, "OH BOTHER" seem as if September just got here, WOW this month flew by, before you know it CHRISTMAS will be here. OH MY !
OH Yeah I Forgot, I did take the Magazine Home with me, Hey I Had To Finish the Article I was reading. Now What Would You Have Done. Come on you know you would have done the same thing.
