Good Morning August

Well August is here, did not come in as a bright beautiful sunny day, but it did come in cloudy yet still cool. only 78 degrees, like those kind of temps. We are supposed to get some rain storms today and tomorrow, but that is O K with me as long as the humidity and high temps stay away. So I guess today we will do a little shopping or shall I say returning of some items that I bought for my kitchen that
I am redoing by bringing red into it to brighten it up. I did buy a 7.5 quart paula Deene pot and some of the mixing bowls that she makes, but when I got home and saw that the large pot could give off fumes that could make a small animal sick and possibly kill a bird, I thought to myself, no wayis that going to be in my home. Besides it is very dark in the red family and that is not what I want, I want the cheer me up red, not real bright, but bright enough so that you know that it is HAPPY RED. I did buy some other items there, 12 beautiful quilted place mats for the dinning room table, red measuring cups and spoons, and oh well that is about it for the kitchen, and no they won't be returned only the huge pot and mixing bowls. Then I think we will probablybe going to visit Mike's mom stay there for a little while then home. Oh yes NASCAR, Nope we will not be missing that. And Oh what a race that was, there was this one of a few accidents, but this one will be in my mind a long time, for the car crashed into the guard rail and hit it at going at the speed of 170mph, yes so hard that his engine actually came flying out, when he got out of the car OH YES he was very shook up, for he had to lay down on the track,. He was taken to the medics to get checked out, and they said that he was alright, how ever when he was interviewed he admitted that he was very sore. Oh how sorry I felt for #19, Elliott Sadler, and Kurt Busch was in that accident too, but it was Jimmy Johnson that caused it, and yes he is an Honest Race Car Driver, for he Admitted it and could not apologize enough. Glad we did not go to the Poconos to watch this race.

Oh How LUCKY He Was

Once the race was over we did have dinner. Mike grilled up some Angus Burgers for him and Shiloh, and for me, well I just had cup of soup, really have not been feeling that great and my head was killing me. After dinner Mike did some things with music in his music room as I wrote a few letters and cards out to our troops. Then it was my time to take an aspirin and then it was GOOD NIGHT. That was all for today. Wish August would have come in as a beautiful sunny day, but Oh I am not going to complain, at least it came in a little cloudy and cool with rain arriving in the late evening.
