Amazing I must say. I surprised myself as I wrote out my checks to automatically put 2016 on everyone of them that's a first for me. Usually taking me to about the middle of February sometimes first week of March. Even all my cards and letters I send to out troops were properly dated. Hmmm maybe this is going to be a Great Year as I thought it would be perhaps as positive as I thought it would be.Seems to me that I was sort of in a slight Depression the end of November till bout three days ago. I finally picked up my pen and started doing all the writing of letters and cards to Veterans a special one to a WWII Vet 93 years young, then to some of our Deployed. Even wrote out cards to 5 Vets in a Home in CA and then moved on to writing a Chaplain a letter as I mailed her Christmas cards that I didn't use and the fronts of many Card "Little House In The Woods" received this Holiday Season. Why did I send them, seems as though her Grandson uses them to make Ornaments for our Troops. I also sent some Handmade Name Tags for the Christmas presents. Have to be honest I forgot to use them all perhaps only using about 4 or 5, but Don't worry everyone did get the correct present even without a name tag.
Must say the weather did get a little cooler the first weekend of the new year but as we moved on it was time for the winter coats, scarves, mittens, sadly no snow. Yes the heater was running and running cha ching -cha -ching !!!!!!! But must say Little House In The Woods" really was not getting very warm. HMmmm think it is time to bring the Heater CO. back for they claimed all was well but, he did check it in the warmer wether we were having so perhaps I should give him the benefit of the doubt, for I was not using the heat back then at all. Perhaps the weekend of the 19th of DEC then on Christmas well we went and use the A/C finally starting to use the heat on 01-03-16.

Hard to believe that it is still cold out there well sort of I guess we are back in the mid 40's but this weekend we will be going into the 60's then back to the Arctic freeze. Unbelievable I don't remember having weather like this in a very ling time. I do so much miss having colder temps but I feel it should be falling temps with falling snow and No there is not Snow here. not even a little flake.
I'm hoping to try and get back to doing my Blog trips for I bought myself a wonderful Christmas present a new camera. Allot to learn with it. But if anyone remembers the old trips we took when Shiloh was still with us as we went through the woods I'm going to be doing that again. I found it fun to do and I do have one reader that has been asking me if I'm ever going to do it again. So yes Sam I will be doing it again.
I hope all is enjoying this new year as I have been and finally got bak on the horse and started doing the many things that I've been slacking off on.
Have a great weekend. It is going to be a rainy warm one here at "The Little House In The Woods" That will give me time to learn my new camera. I did get some wonderful movies for Christmas I'll be sure to watch a couple of them.
I'm also going to try and start writing that Book I promised myself I would write. I do so love to write and have been told I',m waisting my talents by not wring. Perhaps those people are correct
