May The Luck Of The Irish Be With Thee

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Here in the "Little House In The Woods" we woke up to a Whites St. Patrick's Day, what a wonderful blessing, Perhaps it is good luck for we have never had one before a White Christmas yes, never a white St Patty's day  Why do I say perhaps Good Luck, well we have had so much snow this winter that just perhaps a wee little bit of Spring might pop out this week.  Sure would be better then the 29 degrees and 5.5" of snow on the ground.  I wonder if after the snow has stopped fallen if we will get a rainbow and the perhaps really get the Luck Of The Irish!  Oh how wonderful that would be.
I did get up rather early, to prepare this evenings St. Patrick's Day Meal.  So into the crock pot went the cornbeef , cabbage, potatoes, Guinness Beer, spices and a wee bit of gingerale for some sweetness. It just smells so wonderful in here for I also baked an Irish Soda Bread.
Must say that this is my favorite Holiday of them all.  It is a day of cooking baking have some friends over for dinner and just celebrating the wonderful day and slightly partying with it.
